DID YOU KNOW that, even though you may be a practicing Christian, and believe that you are going to spend eternity with Elohim (Christian word: God), you are an enemy of YHVH if you are friends with the world?
“Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that the friendship of the world is hostile (to) Elohim? Whoever, then, purposes to be a friend of the world is put down (as one) hostile to Elohim.” James 4:4
This verse is speaking of spiritual adultery, which happens when you follow the ways and interests of the world rather than the commands and interests of YHVH. Deuteronomy 8:3b says, “. . .Man shall live by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of YHVH.” This was quoted by the Messiah in both Matthew 4:4 and Luke 4:4b. In answering the Devil (the Adversary), Y’hoshua told him: “It has been written: ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every Word going out of the mouth of YHVH.’ ”
Do you diligently study the Word of YHVH -- the Torah, the Prophets and the Writings, the very foundation for the letters of the Apostles? If not, how can you live by every Word out of His mouth if you do not know or understand what He says and means?
Doesn’t living by every Word out of the mouth of YHVH mean being obedient to all of His instructions? Yes, it does! But does it do any good to be obedient to the Word unless you also accept Y’hoshua, whose name means: YHVH is Deliverer? No, because you cannot earn the gift that has been freely given by Y’hoshua, the Messiah. He is the Deliverer, who came to rescue you from the second death by offering you the free gift of salvation, If you choose to accept His free gift, by repenting and turning back in obedience to the Torah, you will be given the authority, through Y’hoshua, to be restored to YHVH; for the Messiah is the door of reconciliation, the way into the presence of His Father. But once your relationship with YHVH has been restored, because all of your past sins have been removed -- and you have been declared innocent -- you must live by His rules, His instructions for having life, the Torah. That is why the good fruit of our salvation will always be the evidence of our obedience.
What name are we instructed to call upon to receive this free gift? “. . .All who shall call on the name of YHVH shall be delivered.” Joel 2:32 Also, Romans 10:13, “For whoever calls on the name of YHVH shall be delivered.”
You cannot put the Creator of the Universe in a closet and bring Him out when it suits your purpose! The Messiah died to reconcile you to YHVH the Almighty, so is it not trampling the Messiah’s blood under your feet to disregard His sacrifice by not coming before YHVH Elohim in repentance and obedience?
Let’s check out the importance of YHVH in your life?
Would you rather be at a high school football game on Friday night instead of having a Shabbat dinner with your family, and studying the Scriptures together?
Are you too busy working or playing on the Sabbath (Saturday) instead of keeping that day set apart as a day of rest, studying the Word of YHVH?
Is He your life, or is He just a “side dish” on the table of your worldly feasts?
Ask yourself: What am I willing to give up to serve the Creator of the Universe? Friends? Family? Position? Pleasures? The “good” life?
The Messiah Y’hoshua said, “He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” John 12:25
It is when you make the decision that you are going to be obedient to whatever He says you must do --- whatever it may be and whatever it may cost; then, as you read the Word and start putting it into practice in your life, you will begin receiving knowledge and understanding of both the Father and the Son, which is the beginning of everlasting life.
In the Messiah’s prayer to His Father (YHVH), He said, “Even as You gave to Him authority over all flesh, so that to all which You gave to Him, He may give to them everlasting life. And this is everlasting life, that they may know You, the only true El, and Y’hoshua the Messiah, whom You have sent.” John 17:2-3
Obedience is the key. “Now we know that Elohim does not hear sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of YHVH and does His will, He hears him.” John 9:31
And, “Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.” Matthew 7:21-23
What is lawlessness? “Whoever commits sin also transgresses the Law, and sin is transgression of the Law (lawlessness).” 1 John 3:4
Time is growing very short; and, as we see in 2 Corinthians 6:2, “For He (YHVH) says, ‘In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.’ (Ref. Isaiah 49:8) Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
Is it He who has come, or He who will come?
Could it be they are One?
The world knows not, cares not, but will see and mourn.
How can one be even as a babe and not know who this is?
