DID YOU KNOW that, if you have not made the decision to be obedient to the Torah, or if you do not have a deep love for studying the Word, it would behoove you to peruse the following verses:
2 Corinthians 4:3, “But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, . . .”
Does this not say that you are perishing if you read the Scriptures and there is a lack of understanding?
2 Thessalonians 2:9-10, “The coming of the (lawless one) is according to the working of Satan (the adversary), with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.”
Is this not saying that those who are unsaved have not received a love for studying and doing the truth? How can we believe and do the truth if we don’t know what it is?
What is truth?
Psalm 119:142b, “And Your law (Your Torah) is truth.”
What does The Word say about those who do not study and do the Torah, the truth?
Proverbs 28:9, “One who turns away his ear from hearing the law (the Torah), even his prayer is an abomination.”
I John 3:4, “Whoever commits sin also transgresses the law (the Torah), and sin is transgression of the Torah.”
Matthew 7:21-23, “Not everyone saying to Me, Master, Master, will enter into the kingdom of Heaven, but the (ones) doing the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name many works of power we performed?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, those working lawlessness (transgression of the Law, the Torah).’ ”
What is the definition of righteousness according to the Torah?
Deuteronomy 6:24-25, “And YHVH commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear YHVH Elohanu (our El), for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as this day. Then it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to observe all these commandments before YHVH our Elohim as He has commanded us.”
1 John 2:28-29, “And now, little children, abide in Him that when He is revealed we may have confidence and not be shamed from Him in His coming. If you know that He is righteous know that everyone doing righteousness has been regenerated by Him.”
Luke 13:26-28, “Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ And He will say, ‘I say to you I do not know you, from where you are. Stand back from Me all the workers of unrighteousness. There will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of Elohim, but you being thrust outside.’ ”
Hosea 14:9, “Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of YHVH are right, and the righteous walk in them; but transgressors stumble in them.”
