CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FALSE MESSIAH

DID YOU KNOW that Christianity and the coming false messiah have a lot in common?

Consider Daniel 7:25, “And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High. And he intends to change times and law. , , ”

Wear Out: Hebrew #1080 bel-aw’; corresponding to #1086 but used only in a mental sense); to afflict.
#1086 baw-law’; a primitive root; to fail; by implication to wear out, decay (causative spend).

Change: Hebrew #8133 (Chaldean) shen-aw’; corresponding to #8132.
#8132, shaw-naw’; a primitive root; to alter.

Times: Hebrew #2166, zem-awn; same as 2165.
#2165, an appointed occasion.

First of all, who are the saints of the Most High?

Consider Revelation 14:12, “Here is the patience of the saints; here are the ones keeping the commands of YHVH, and the faith (trust) of Y’hoshua.”

Revelation is the last book in the Bible, and the saints are still keeping the commandments of YHVH and trusting in Him the same way Y’hoshua did!

Deuteronomy 28:15 says, “And it shall be, if you will not heed the voice of Elohekka (your El), to take heed to do all His commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today, even all these curses shall come on you and overtake you.”

In light of this pronouncement, consider further Deuteronomy 28:28, “YHVH shall strike you with madness, and with blindness, and with astonishment (confusion) of heart.” And Deuteronomy 28:45, “And all these curses shall come on you and shall pursue you and overtake you, until you are destroyed, for you did not heed the voice of YHVH Elohekka, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.”

People will bring curses upon themselves by paying heed to the false messiah, so what is he going to put into practice that will bring about this devastation?

“ . . . And his heart shall be against the holy covenant . . . [Daniel 11:28]” “ . . . And he will be pained and turn back and be furious against the holy covenant. And he will act, and he will return and heed the forsakers of the holy covenant. And forces (armies) will stand away from him, and they will profane the sanctuary, the fortress. And shall remove the regular sacrifice, and they will place the abomination that desolates. And he will defile by flatteries those who do evil against the covenant. But the people who know their Elohim will be strong and will work. And those who understand among the people will instruct many . . .[Daniel 11:28-33]”

The false messiah is going to deceive many, but aren’t people already being deceived?

The false messiah is going to reward forsakers of the holy covenant, but isn’t Christianity already practicing the same thing? Since they have abandoned the feasts (the appointed times) of YHVH, including the Sabbath, and the food laws, etc., how easy it is going to be for them to believe that the false messiah is the one they have been waiting for!

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of the Messiah. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Do you remember when Y’hoshua went alone into the wilderness for forty days; and, when those days were finished, the Tempter tried three times to entice Him to sin?

Listen to the Messiah’s response to each test:

Matthew 4:4
“ . . . It has been written: ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every Word coming out of the mouth of YHVH.’ ” Ref. Deuteronomy 8:3; 4:3-4.

Matthew 4:7
“ . . . Again it has been written: ‘You shall not tempt YHVH your Elohim.’ ” Ref. Deuteronomy 6:16; Luke 4:12.

Matthew 4:10
“ . . . Go, Satan! For it has been written: ‘You shall worship YHVH Elohekka and you shall serve Him only.’ ” Ref. Deuteronomy 6:13; Luke 4:7-8.

“So shall My Word be, which goes out of My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in what I sent it to do!” Isaiah 55:11

Did YHVH set an expiration date on His Word?

Isaiah 40:8, “The grass withers; the flower fades; but the Word of our Elohim shall rise forever.”

Deuteronomy 4:2, You shall not add to the Word which I command you, nor take from it, to keep the commandments of YHVH your Elohim which I command you.”

Deuteronomy 12:32, “All the things that I command you, take heed to do them and you shall not add to it, nor take away from it.”

Proverbs 30:6, Do not add to His Words, that He not reprove you, and you be proven a liar.”

Ecclesiastes 3:14-15, I know that whatever Elohim does, it shall be forever; nothing is to be added to it, and nothing is to diminish from it. And Elohim does (it) so that they fear before Him. That which has been, it already is; and that which (is) to be, (it) already has been. And Elohim seeks what has gone by.”

Galatians 3:15, “Brothers, I speak according to man, a covenant having been ratified, even (among) mankind; no one sets aside or adds to (it).”

The Word was given to be a lamp unto our feet and a light upon our pathway. Without it, we stumble in the darkness and lose our way. Ref. Psalm 119:105

2 Thessalonians 2:
(3-4) Do not let anyone deceive you in any way, because (that day will not come) unless the falling away (departure) comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above everything being called god, or object of worship, so that he sits in the Temple of Elohim as YHVH, setting forth himself, that he is YHVH. (Ref. Daniel 11:36; Ezekiel 28:2)
(5-8) “Do you not remember that when I was with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the midst. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom Y’hoshua will consume by the Spirit of His mouth, and destroy with the brightness of His coming. (Ref. Isaiah 11:40)
(9-12) “The coming (of the lawless one) is according to the working of Satan (the Adversary) in all power and (miraculous) signs and lying wonders, and in all deceit of unrighteousness in those being lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth [Ref. Psalm 119:142] in order for them to be saved. And because of this, YHVH will send to them a strong delusion for them to believe the lie, that all may be condemned, those not believing the truth, but who have delighted in unrighteousness.”

The two important signs:

• No love for the truth – the Torah!

• He who restrains is taken out of the way. Jacob, the restrainer – the obedient ones from the house of Israel, the house of Judah, and all those who have joined with them – the Bride, will be caught away on Yom Teruah (The Day of the Awakening Blast/The Day That No Man Knows) during the beginning of the seven-year period of tribulation. Then the lawless one (the one who transgresses the Torah) will be revealed.

Ironic, isn’t it? Christianity professes to love the Creator of the Universe and the false messiah will try to replace Him, but neither has any regard for the instructions of YHVH. They go about their lives devoid of concern that the Day is fast approaching; for, as Y’hoshua’s words tell us, “ . . . as it was in the days of Noah, so also it will be in the days of the Son of man. They were eating, drinking, marrying, giving in marriage, until (the) day Noah went into the ark. And the Flood came and destroyed all. And likewise, as it was in the days of Lot, they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building, but on (the) day Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from the heaven and destroyed all. According to these things it will be in the day the Son of man is revealed.” Luke 17:26-30

So it is today! The stage is set and the curtains will soon be drawn back. Listen for the blowing of the shofar, for it will sound loud and strong. Are you ready?
