DID YOU KNOW that you could be living on death row without realizing it?
What the translators called “law” is referring to the Torah, the instructions for having life, the first five books of the Scriptures. By using the definitions above, 1 John 3:4 reads: “Whosoever committeth sin violates the Torah, for sin is violation of the Torah; thereby one misses the mark and does not share in the prize. And what is the prize? The gift of everlasting life, which is knowing Elohim and Y’hoshua the Messiah. Next verse: ”And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness (Gr. #458)!’ ” [Matthew 7:23] “The Son of Adam shall send out His messengers, and they shall gather out of His reign all the stumbling-blocks, and those doing lawlessness (Gr. #459), and shall throw them into the furnace of fire -- there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” [Matthew 13:41-42] Do you honestly believe that you can sin by purposely ignoring Elohim’s instructions for having life (His Torah), and then you will be rewarded with everlasting life for your transgressions?
